BREXIT TALKS PROCESS

The EU's proposed schedule for the progress of the talks have been suggested on the Politico website (HERE). They are proposing four week cycles with one week each dedicated to:

- Internal preparation and consultation
- Exchange of views by each side
- Negotiations
- Reporting back to principles and publication (on-line I assume)

The EU are also suggesting the UK pick up all the technical and travel costs associated with the negotiations and that all face to face talking will be done in Brussels.

It is apparent that the two sides have not yet agreed on HOW the negotiations are to be carried out although officials say they expect this to be agreed within two weeks of the UK General Election - but that still really means nothing being done until the start of July.
