POLL 84 IN WHATUKTHINKS SERIES

The 84th poll in the WhatUKthinks series has been published (HERE). It shows a record level of those thinking it was WRONG to vote to leave the EU. The great majority of polls have been carried out by the respected pollsters YouGov (all but two I think) and at 48% the last poll shows the highest level of WRONG ever recorded by YouGov. Sky data hit that level in one poll back in March 2018, but for YouGov it's a record. Those thinking the decision was RIGHT is level at 42%.

However it's not quite enough to alter the 53% to 47% lead after don't knows are excluded, although that is the third poll in a row giving WRONG a substantial 6% lead.

In the last 12 months there have been 43 polls in total with WRONG ahead in 40 of them and two level. RIGHT was in front by 1% just once eight months ago.

The latest figures are:

Total No of polls since August 2016: 83

Polls with RIGHT IN THE LEAD: 28 - (22 in the first 27 polls)

Polls with WRONG IN THE LEAD: 47 - (40 in the last 43 polls)

Even: 9

Last time RIGHT was in the lead: 17th January 2018

All very encouraging.
