Trump and Musk: the two most dangerous men in America

Donald Trump is one of the worst, if not THE worst human being, that America has ever produced in any era and in any capacity. I can’t think of anyone else in history that even comes close. His flaws are so numerous, well-documented and obvious that it’s hard to believe there is a single person who could see even a flicker of good in him.  His former personal lawyer and once a New York Mayor, Rudy Giuliani, has been essentially bankrupted by his stupid allegiance to Trump, ordered to pay $148 million to two election workers in Georgia because he wrongly accused them of fiddling the 2020 election result.

Trump has done nothing to help him. Think about that. Even the mafia had some honour, Trump has none, not even for close associates and those who have given almost everything they own to support his obvious lies.

Just a short post today with some suggested reading. The New York Times has an article (no £) about Trump's lamentable record of failure, illegality, scandals and lawsuits. It is an amazing tour-de-force of an appalling human being with no redeeming virtues whatsoever.

Next, The Atlantic magazine carries a report about Trump's idolisation of dictators and his utter disdain for America's military. He is on record as demanding generals like the ones Hitler had, which I assume means men who have sworn an oath of loyalty to Trump himself rather than the Constitution.

Yet the polls are neck and neck. It really will be a close contest. If Trump wins, the whole future of the USA, NATO and the western alliance is at stake. It's a terrifying prospect.

Neither report even touches on his obvious ignorance about virtually everything or his verbal skills which never rise above that of the average 12-year-old. How the Republican party got into the position of choosing such a broken and deranged soul as their preferred candidate for POTUS three times in a row is a subject that will occupy historians for decades.

This Tweet by A C Grayling says it all:

As if that wasn't enough, Elon Musk the world's richest idiot and owner of the Twitter social media platform with 200 million followers, has been investigated by CBS News. Musk is throwing his weight behind Trump and CBS has found that 55% of Musk's Twitter posts "contain misleading or false statements, or amplify posts that do."

"Further analysis of these posts showed that 40 of the accounts Musk replied to or reposted were accounts researchers have identified as promoters of voter fraud claims."

This should be unbelievable but unfortunately, it isn't.

This is what supporters of democracy are up against. It is only going to get worse.
