VOTE LEAVE OVERSPEND

Another whistleblower has come forward to say Vote Leave exceeded legal spending limits in the referendum campaign (HERE). He has apparently made a submission through a lawyer that BeLeave wasn't an independent campaigning group but was simply used by Vote Leave to spend more than they were allowed to. The whistleblower is a Mark Gettleson a communications consultant. He is the third whistle blower to go public.

Some of the revelations seem to be very significant and detailed.  Matthew Elliot, Vote Leave's chief executive, used a picture in his evidence to the high court in March to show that BeLeave was an entirely independent campaign. Mr Gettleson has provided emails that seem to show the pictures were actually the work of Vote Leave. These are serious matters which involve Elliot (CEO) and Cummings (Campaign Director), the most senior members of Vote Leave, along with Stephen Parkinson and Cleo Watson, both of whom now work for Theresa May.

Mr Gettleson says they broke spending limits "on an industrial scale".

Darren Grimes, one of the men who supposedly ran BeLeave was 22 years old at the time and I believe he is coming under a lot of pressure. If he decides to come clean about the whole thing VoteLeave will be in deep trouble, I'm very glad to say.
