Gibraltar is now coming up the pile of difficulties with The Telegraph reporting Barnier as saying he expected the UK to "cave in" to Spanish demands over the rock (HERE). The fact that Spain has an effective veto over the withdrawal agreement and the transition does not help us. We have made virtually no preparations for exiting without an agreement and the closer we get to March 29th the more obvious this will become.

GIBRALTAR
The DEXEU website provides regular, usually totally meaningless, updates on Brexit. These are invariably simple anodyne announcements about meetings, speeches and consultations involving DEXEU ministers. I check it every few days and there is a link to it on the sidebar of this blog, but there has never been anything remotely interesting. However, the latest is about Gibraltar and a meeting between Robin Walker, a junior DEXEU minister and Dr Josef Garcia, the territory's deputy first minister (HERE).

GIBRALTAR
Brexit is like a multi faceted Rubiks cube. Very complicated. When your attention is focused on one aspect you rotate it and find another problem has come to the fore. So it is with Gibraltar. The Irish border question has hogged the limelight for a while and the rock has fallen out of sight. Now The Guardian (HERE) say that Gibraltar may be out of the EU abruptly in March 2019 without any transition because the UK government hasn't offered any proposals.
