TRADE DEALS & THE ANTIPODES

Richard Tice has some odd ideas we know. In this article (HERE) he says Brexit will somehow bring us closer to our antipodean cousins but he still thinks the EU will offer us a trade deal where we can more or less carry on as before. The delusions continue.

It is an odd paradox on the leave side that we can have the IEA publish a paper arguing that leaving the EU without a trade deal won't hurt us while the Chair of Leave means Leave Richard Tice seems to think the lack of a trade deal with Australia has somehow damaged our ability to be close to our antipodean cousins. Strange isn't it?

Of course, we are not going to keep the benefits of all EU benefits while striking trade deals with other countries across the world. We will have to choose between them and in the case of Australia it will be gaining improved access to a market of 25 million, 12,000 miles away in exchange for one of 440 million across The English Channel.
