POLL 71 IN WHATUKTHINKS SERIES

Well, the 71st poll in the WhatUKthinks series was published yesterday (HERE) and shows WRONG still ahead but only by %. This is in answer to the question: Was the UK right or wrong to vote to leave the EU. It is the 21st poll this year and the 19th with WRONG in front.

So the figures are now:

Total No of polls since August 2016: 71

Polls with RIGHT IN THE LEAD: 28 - (22 in the first 27 polls)
Polls with WRONG IN THE LEAD: 34 - (27 in the last 29 polls)

Even: 9

Last time RIGHT was in the lead: 17th January 2018

Looked at annually:

2016 - (from August) 12 polls in total WRONG =1, RIGHT 11
2017 - 39 in total WRONG = 15, RIGHT = 17
2018 - (to date) 21 in total WRONG = 19, RIGHT = 1

Notably only 19% of Labour voters think the decision to leave was RIGHT which makes Jeremy Corbyn's position even more difficult to understand. On the other side 71% of Conservative voters still think it was RIGHT.  If I look back to the beginning Conservative voters' support for Brexit is actually going UP (it was 58% on 30th August 2016) while Labour voters' support is falling (from 25%).
