POLL 79 IN WHATUKTHINKS SERIES

The 79th poll in the WhatUKthinks series was published yesterday but it's a slightly odd one. It wasn't the most recent but a poll conducted on 23rd March this year for Sky News. So, the most recent ones remain the same but the numbers change - by adding a new 60th poll on 23rd March, all the later ones shift so the 78th poll becomes the 79th for example.

It wasn't a YouGov poll, but one conducted for Sky News by Sky Data. It's not clear why they decided to add one extra poll from four months ago but it doesn't change much since WRONG had a 4% lead according to Sky.

So bearing that in mind, the latest figures are:

Total No of polls since August 2016: 79

Polls with RIGHT IN THE LEAD: 28 - (22 in the first 27 polls)
Polls with WRONG IN THE LEAD: 42 - (36 in the last 41 polls)

Even: 9

Last time RIGHT was in the lead: 17th January 2018

Looked at annually:

2016 - (from August) 12 polls in total WRONG =1, RIGHT 11
2017 - 39 in total WRONG = 15, RIGHT = 17
2018 - (to date) 28 in total WRONG = 26, RIGHT = 1
