POLL 73 IN WHATUKTHINKS SERIES

The 73rd poll in the WhatUKthinks series was published yesterday (HERE) and shows WRONG still ahead and now by 3%. This is in answer to the question: Was the UK right or wrong to vote to leave the EU. It is the 23rd poll this year and the 21st with WRONG in front.

So the figures are now:

Total No of polls since August 2016: 73

Polls with RIGHT IN THE LEAD: 28 - (22 in the first 27 polls)
Polls with WRONG IN THE LEAD: 36 - (29 in the last 31 polls)

Even: 9

Last time RIGHT was in the lead: 17th January 2018

Looked at annually:

2016 - (from August) 12 polls in total WRONG =1, RIGHT 11
2017 - 39 in total WRONG = 15, RIGHT = 17
2018 - (to date) 23 in total WRONG = 21, RIGHT = 1

I honestly think it's hard to argue that these polls are not accurate. They're carried out regularly by the same polling organisation asking the same questions and there is definitely a shift toward remain. It might be small but bad news continues to dog the leave campaigners, the economy is still sluggish, business is growing impatient and the Tories are at each other's throat. What could possibly go right?
